The Pretender Project is UNIT9 product based on Yifei Chai concept. Pretender is a haptic device based on TENS (Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation). The device can contract your muscles by applying small electric stimulation through the skin. It enables the computer to control the body, or to give feedback - for example when a user touches a virtual object. The main purpose of this project was to enhance VR experiences. By using a provided API a developer can program your body to perform some move sequences, or let the other user control your body directly.
